$50 · Crib - 1980's from Woodwards
This is a Storkcraft wooden crib, dark wood frame and spindles that was purchased new in the fall of 1983 from Woodwards Department store in Nanaimo. The Crib is in excellent condition, only one small plastic clip missing that does not affect use of the crib. One side can be lowered somewhat for easier access to the baby. It can be locked in the lowered and the full up position. It does Not convert to a day bed, not even sure if that style existed back then. Mattress not included. (We also have a baby stroller of the same vintage Luv Buggy. $55) Update October 16, 2016. I have unpacked the crib and taken some photos. As three children have used this crib there are some slight signs of wear, but overall it's in great condition. The only part that is actually broken is one of the wheels, which does not seem to affect how level the crib is. Because of the broken wheel, you have to lift one corner 2 cm to move it without dragging. The other way to consider is that it will not roll too freely across the floor with the one wheel partially holding in place. It's been pointed out to me by my daughter that modern cribs don't have wheels so it might be better to just remove the other wheels by unplugging them from their slots. If requested I can do this quickly, they are held by metal slots hidden within the legs of the crib. I should add that this crib is a bit tricky to assemble, or in my old age I've just forgotten a lot of the proper instructions! I can show you how to assemble, takes about 10 or 15 minutes. For other questions please ask and I'll do my best to answer. Thanks.
