Delivery Driver

The position offers $18/hour and consists of delivering and picking up packages with the highest level of customer service and accuracy is the key to your success. As a delivery driver, you will be loading/unloading packages into the vehicles as required, lifting up to 50lbs (23Kg), delivering packages to customers' homes, businesses, and apartment buildings. This is a fast-paced position that requires individuals to work at a quick pace while still being organized, accurate, and safe. RESPONSIBILITIES: -Deliver packages in a timely and efficient manner -Attention to detail and ability to multitask -Excellent customer service skills -Comfortable using a smartphone -Comfortable sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time, including climbing stairs -Comfortable getting in and out of a van multiple times a day -Self-motivated, responsible and punctual -Effective communication skills with our customers and operational team REQUIREMENTS: -MUST have a valid Class 5 driver license (No N / L) -Ability to drive a cargo van -Ability to lift up to 50lbs (23Kg) -Ability to drive in traffic -Clean driver abstract (Driving Record) -Must pass a criminal background check -Available to start work immediately EXPERIENCE: -Efficient time management -Great knowledge of the Nanaimo Area -Ability to follow the direction of Supervisor / Dispatcher -Capable of working under time constraints to get packages delivered to customers on time -Positive attitude, good communication skills, great customer service, and ability to work well in a team environment -Previous courier or delivery driver experience with Skip the Dishes, UPS, FedEx etc. is an asset Looking to fill the positions as soon as possible, so come join our team, a great company with growth opportunities.
