$4,000 · 1986 Dodge B250 Getaway van

This camper was originally built by Get-Away RV in Richmond. It has since had the interior re configured by a previous owner, but the original cabinet doors, furnace, stove and fridge remain. Has the original side/facing seat belts for the rear seat, but a newer style folding jump seat has been installed. Rear bed area was redone by previous owner. Includes multiple panels that form a flat surface for bed, and an overhead gear loft. Includes several upholstered cushions to form bed that are in good condition (especially if you are a fan of the colour “burnt orange”!). Also includes the original table and post/base that can be reinstalled. Chassis details- 66,xxxkm (5-digit odo, has likely rolled over once or twice….or 3 times) Chrysler 360ci V8 (was a 318 but was swapped at some point. 727 Torqueflite 3spd auto transmission (again, not original) No AC, crank windows, manual locks….etc (no power options on this unit) Pros! -Holley Street Warrior 600cfm carb w/electric choke -Edelbrock Performer intake -Melling stage 1 RV cam -Magnaflow stainless steel muffler - Formula Avenger wheels w/tires in very good condition with lots of tread. -Engine was refreshed last year. New rings, bearings, lifters, valve springs, rocker arms (basically everything except pistons, rods, crank and valves) -All of the appliances work. Furnace valve replaced 2 years ago, fridge runs on propane and shore power. Newer propane tank. -Suspension and brakes are solid -Original roll-out awning is in good shape with no rips or tears. Cons ): -It’s carbureted. Isn’t very enthusiastic when starting in the cold. -An oil leak has popped up from either the back of the oil pan or the rear main -Fuel economy? Nothing economical about it. It’s a yacht with 4 wheels. - It’s a 39 year old van. It’s going to continually need work from time to time. - Some of the seals around the windows are dried out and starting to leak when sprayed with a hose. It’s been a great van that was a part of many great experiences all over the island and over to Whistler/Pemberton in the 4 years we’ve had it. Unfortunately it’s time for us to move on and pass this camper on to its next owner. New owner should be mechanically inclined as it will need attention and this isn’t the type of vehicle a lot of shops will want to take on. Fortunately due to its age, it’s very easy to work on! Comes with a box of spares, including a TransGo shift kit I never got around to installing. Van starts, runs, drives and stops. Will remove ad when sold. No trades please, first come first served
