Abbeyfield St Benedict Society Weekend/Relief Cook Looking to work in a serene Nanaimo location for a not-for-profit society? Please read on. Job Description We are offering a permanent part-time hourly pay position; weekends, approximately eight hours a day, split shift, plus acting relief person when the House Manager is on vacation or ill. Job Description: Prepare and serve nutritious, home-style meals for 9 residents Maintenance of a clean kitchen and food preparation environment, in keeping with all Provincial and Municipal regulations Available to assist in resident emergencies (First Aid only) Follow protocol for infectious diseases Liaison and communication with residents Job Requirements: An up-to-date Food Safe Certificate, Emergency First Aid, and CPR are required. A Criminal Record check will be required. Recent experience cooking for groups is necessary. Preference will be given to those that have had previous experience working with elders and enjoy their company. The rate of pay is $20 per hour.
