Cabinet Finisher/Sprayer

Creative Woodcraft Ltd. is a well-established quality custom cabinet and millwork company proudly serving Vancouver Island for over 30 years. We are known for our quality workmanship, and excellent customer service. We are looking for a Lead Cabinet Finisher to join our growing buisness. THE POSITION The lead finisher is responsible for leading, and developing a finishing team in a manufacturing setting. This includes planning the finishing production schedule, quality control, training, defect diagnostics and performing finishing work. QUALIFICATIONS * Experienced (3+ years of finishing experience) * Previous experience with paint spraying and finishing techniques with paints/stains/glazes * Experience working in a finishing booth/with finishing line * Good eye for detail and colour and strong colour matching ability/colour palette understanding * Strong communication skills * Punctual and dependable * Multi-tasking, prioritizing and problem solving abilities * Leadership and teamwork skills are a must * Must be computer literate and comfortable learning new software RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop and maintain the finishing production schedule * Lead and develop a team of highly capable finishers * Ensure projects are being completed efficiently and on time * Brush, spray, or hand rub finishing products onto and into wood grain; then apply lacquer or other sealers. * Study detailed cabinetry drawings to produce specific designs * Mix finish ingredients to obtain desired colours or shades * QC products during and after finishing process * Collaborate with coworkers to ensure quality, timeliness and efficiencies * Ensure finishing line, spray booth and all finishing tools are properly maintained * Keep accurate records of procedures * Monitor inventory of supplies and request for replenishment * Be a team player, contribute to a positive team atmosphere * Other duties as assigned WHY JOIN OUR TEAM?
