Roland Gissing was a well-known and prolific Canadian landscape artist. See the link below. Most of his works are of Alberta locations, his home province, but this one is of Windermere Lake in BC (misspelled on the original signed label on the back of the painting and on the little plaque on the front). It was a gift to my grandfather when he left Union Oil in the early 70s. It's something of an heirloom but we have no special attachment to it and are downsizing. Gissings go for between $800 and $2000 at auction, and the same in US auctions, so we're pricing this at the low-ish end for the local collector. It is negotiable. It is in great shape, was always in non-smoking homes. Reasonable offers welcome. We mostly want it to go to a good home. Come check it out, Covid protocols observed. Thanks.
