Seeking a kind, patient, hard-working individual who will provide childcare and associated duties for two energetic school-age children in a busy home with two parents who are working professionals. 30hr/week. Salary range 12.65/hr to 18.50/hr (to be negotiated based on previous experience, abilities and qualifications) Childcare role and duties: Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home Taking children to and from school and to scheduled activities and appointments (if valid driver's license) Maintain same standards of discipline as parents Keep records of daily activities Instruct children in personal hygiene Assist with organizing and supervising activities such as games, outings and playdates Tend to their emotional well-being Help them with homework Direct and remind them to do chores. Ensure completion Prepare and serve nutritious meals Other potential duties: Shop for food and household supplies (if valid driver's license) Laundry and ironing Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision Assume complete responsibility for household when parents are absent Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties Highschool diploma required. Post high school education an asset. Experience an asset. Experience with children with learning disabilities and ADHD an asset. First aid certificate required. Scent-free, non-smoking environment (one child with allergies, no smokers please) References required The following will likely be required: Driving record check (abstract).
