Construction Lead

Experienced Construction Lead / Carpenter supervisor: T-Square Construction is looking for a skilled carpenter to join our expanding team! If you are experienced with carpentry & site management, have your own vehicle, basic tools, and basic safety equipment, then drop us a message with your resume attached! Qualifications: -Red Seal Carpenter (BC or interprovincial) or equivalent experience. -Ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans, & blueprints and convey this information to others -Manage all aspects of a worksite - safety, quality control, scheduling, & budget -Strong leadership skills with active participation in team environment -Possesses a valid BC Driver's License with a clean abstract and own vehicle -Professional, calm and effective communication - strong grasp of the English language Responsibilities: -Attend meetings with clients & designers and prepare preliminary project estimates -Establish initial construction schedule and coordinate implementation of changes to work schedule in accordance with priorities and goals -Prepare and manage the permit process including land use policies and zoning regulations -Work in close collaboration with our office staff to coordinate project related documentation, scheduling, and administration -Ability to convey periodic reports for management & clients on project status -Efficiently delegate responsibilities and individual projects to labourers, apprentices and trade subcontractors -Assume and carry out various project related tasks, including rough carpentry blocking, framing, laying subflooring, and trim work -Follow all code requirements for kitchens and baths in remodeling projects Hours 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
