Hi! My name is Caleb, I am a first year law student at UVic, and this summer I have been working independently as a landscaper/property manager in North Saanich/Victoria. I have a cabin on Gabriola and I would like to spend more time there but then I'm forgoing work at home. I could work on Gabriola on a regular basis and stay at my place there. I do landscaping, lawn care, painting, and general cleaning/yard work. Here's why I don't work for less than $25/hr: if you pay someone say $18/hr, you're going to get that much work out of them. Someone willing to work for $18/hr probably doesn't have any higher wage opportunities, so maybe they aren't that good at what you do. When you pay me $25/hr, you're getting more work done in less time. I don't even take breaks! Either pay someone with less skills less and get less work done, or pay more for better work in less time. Let me know what you think! Caleb
