Hiring Part-time ESL/French/Italian/Japanese/Korean instructors

Description Nanaimo Language Centre (NLC), located in Nanaimo North Town Centre, is currently seeking part-time language instructors and teachers for tutoring. The teacher is responsible for creating relevant and interesting lessons which will aid students to acquire the language of instruction. RESPONSIBILITIES Instruct adults and youth. Prepare grammar classes and conversation activities. Correct students' homework and exams. Evaluate students in terms of writing and speaking. Ongoing assessments and evaluations of students' progress Adhere to and respect Nanaimo Language Centre's policies and procedures. Complete administrative tasks correctly and on time. Weekly correspondence with administration Frequent communication regarding the progress of their children Evaluate entering students and place them in the appropriate class level. Adhere to NLC's Child Protection Policies and Procedures. QUALIFICATIONS Be a native speaker of the language being taught. Have teaching experience in Canada. Have a University degree preferably in Education or a related field. Be flexible. Have computer skills and be at ease with Word and Excel.
