Vera Lynn is a world renowned singer of wartime songs and was known as the "Forces Sweetheart" in the 1940's. The "blitz" refers to the German bombing of Britain and therefore the title "Hits of the Blitz". The 24 songs on this album were recorded in 1962 and are a medley of the most requested songs, particularly White Cliffs of Dover and We'll Meet Again. This album is in excellent condition. The album cover is still in it's original plastic, and the album itself is also in excellent condition and has had very little use.
