$900 · Homestay and Peerstay Available for International Students

We are homestay hosts and we currently have 2 rooms available for international (ESL) students. Homestay ($900/month): INCLUDES breakfast (self-serve), lunch, and dinner. You are also welcome to any food in the kitchen for snacks. Peerstay ($600/month): No meals/food included; students expected to clean up after themselves. We currently have a young Chinese couple who reside in the downstairs room. Your room contains everything you need including a bed, desk with chair and lamp, closet, night table with alarm clock/radio, and dresser. Some additional features of the actual house include: - Super-high speed Wi-Fi Internet: 300 Mbps download, 15 Mbps upload, 1TB of data per month - Netflix - Large back yard with garden and flowers - BBQ area - Front and back decks - Located in an extremely friendly neighbourhood with nature trails nearby We are located in Cinnabar/Extension in South Nanaimo which is about a 9-minute drive from Vancouver Island University (VIU). By bus, you need to walk 20-minutes to the bus stop by Country Grocer, and then the bus from there to VIU takes 15-minutes, so it is best if you have a vehicle. We have a very friendly Golden Retriever who is a part of the family, although he does shed so you must be okay with dogs and dog hair. We are in our late 30s and I work from a home office and my partner works casual shifts at the hospital so we are at home almost all the time.
