RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKERS / CARE AIDES -COMOX VALLEY Flexibility of shifts ~ Opportunity to Maximize Hours ~ Employer-paid Benefits for Full-time Carmichael Enterprises Residential Programs Ltd. is a CARF accredited organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of persons served. Our skilled teams of residential support workers provide support to youth and adults with developmental delays, mental health concerns, and often severe behavioral challenges including aggression. Our approaches are strength-based and client centered in order to optimize the chances to achieve the individual goals of our persons served. Casual staff with full availability are often working 40 hours weekly and moving into permanent positions within a few months. 2-day SIVA Training (Supporting Individuals Through Valued Attachments) provided without charge to all employees. Competitive wages. Oversees the overall care of persons served in the home. Participates as part of the team responsible for the efficient functioning of residence operations on both an individual and group basis. The Residential Support Worker enhances and rehabilitates the quality of life for persons served by ensuring that their placement, social, educational, health, emotional/behavioral, and cultural needs are met. Case management, life skills support, behaviour management, hygiene assistance, medications, and community inclusion are all aspects of this position. Transfers, catheter and bowel management protocols, and seizure monitoring may be a part of our clients? care.
