Summer English Programs

Course: ESL Fun/ Junior English Students at this level already have a basic foundation in reading and writing. This program will reinforce early literacy skills and introduce students to the wonderful magic of transforming their thoughts into writing, while moving progressively from simple sentences to narratives and expository writing. Class time: Monday to Friday 12:30-3:00 Session one Start date: July 2nd, 2019 End date: July 26th, 2019 Session two Start date: July 29th, 2019 End date: August 23rd, 2019 Course: ESL Elementary Reading and Writing Skills Students at this level have already developed the foundational skills necessary to communicate on a day-to-day basis and are becoming more independent learners. This program will continue to reinforce the basic literacy skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing while exposing students to more age-appropriate and academic specific course content. Class time: Monday to Friday 9:30-11:30 Session one Start date: July 2nd, 2019 End date: July 26th, 2019 Session two Start date: July 29th, 2019 Course: ESL Intermediate Reading and Writing Skills Excel in all subjects by improving your comprehension and organizational skills. Performing at an academic level consistent with their peers can be extremely demanding and frustrating for many ELLs. This course provides the necessary guidance and support which are essential to approaching your academic goals with confidence. Learn the essential skills and strategies to become a better student, get better grades across the curriculum and get prepared for the Provincial Exam.
