Recently I've noticed my cat hasn't been acting herself, my son went to stay with his grandparents and she bounced back to her old self. I think that she maybe needs to live in a place where she can get the attention she needs without being super afraid of my son (who usually leaves her alone as she's so big and isn't very gentle with him) I love her a lot but we're downsizing in the future and I don't want to make things worse for her. She has a chip, she was fixed at the right age so she doesn't go through heats. She works best as an indoor outdoor cat, but she has been entirely indoor before. She will be around seven years old this year. She's a long haired, Maine coon tortious shell cat. She responds well to her name Ruby, and is very affectionate, she doesn't understand that claws hurt so she may accidentally get you once or twice if you like to snuggle. She also likes long hair and beards, be wary cause she will try to brush it for you. She is very talkative and loud, she likes to make sure you know she's there. Ruby isn't very confident in herself so she doesn't often jump up on furniture, and if she does her claws will go in so If you like having pristine furniture I wouldn't reccomended her. She gets along fine with other animals, she's never gone after small dogs or other household cats. She doesn't like small children very much. She has a different kind of fur, it's very fine and long. I find that people who are only kind of allergic to cats are extremely allergic to her for some reason. The upside is you'll be able to pick her up without being covered in hair. She likes to be picked up, she likes to sit on the back of the couch while you're sitting down, she likes to catch small animals like birds, mice, rats and lizards so if you have these as pets I wouldn't say she's a good fit.
