Cabinetmaker - Joiner To support our growth we are seeking a motivated, results-driven individual to strengthen our production and Installation teams. Will be working in a Custom 8,000 sq. ft. Fabrication Shop - AWMAC standards - Mostly commercial work. Knowledge of setting up and operating variety of woodworking machines including uses of various hand tools and power tool to fabricate custom millwork, butcher block tops including custom wood moldings. Study drawings of articles to be constructed and plan sequence of cutting or shaping operations to be performed. Ability to work independently on projects or tag team on large projects. We have a solid wood division with large drum sanders, shapers, etc producing butcher block tops including assorted moldings. CNC Machine and finishing experience a plus Core responsibilities – solid wood machining, fabricating and cabinet fabrication, mostly working from shop drawings Staining & Lacquering – includes, surface prep, stain / finish samples, finishing millwork Able to work with all wood veneers Strong work ethics and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team, Meet Company quality standards and deadlines Location: Cobble Hill, BC Skills and experience: - min. 3 years experience working with various solid woods Compensation: Competitive wage depending on experience and skill level Full Benefits - Medical & Dental apply via email or call 250-361-8342 chfcontracting@shaw.ca
