Job hiring - French teacher for Afterschool Program

Job description: Nanaimo Language Centre is seeking a passionate and experienced French teacher/ECE/ECA for our Language Immersion After School Program starting in June 2021. The program will be offered to children in grades 1-5, Monday – Friday from 2:30 – 5:30pm. Requirements/Qualifications: • Preference will be given to certified ECE. However, we will also consider candidates with relevant background and experience. • Experience working with children from K-5 is a must • Caring and nurturing attitude • Strong work ethic and effective time management skills • Independent and reliable team player Job description/criteria: • Planning and implementing a quality Program for K-5 children • Ensuring the supervision and safety of the children in the program at all times • Fostering the children’s curiosity and facilitating activities based on their interests and needs • Building positive relationships with the children, families and school community • Following COVID-19 policies and procedures in accordance with provincial recommendation If you would like to apply for this position, please send us your resume together with a cover letter to: nanaimolanguage2@gmail.com.
