Registered Care Aide Needed in Nanaimo

We are looking to hire a caregiver, primarily as night shift casual/backup starting as soon as possible. Then switching to a 7-8 week period of full-time night shift starting in mid-December, to cover some of my staff who are going on vacation. I am an adult with a physical disability (spinal muscular atrophy) and require assistance with essentially all physical tasks but direct my own care verbally. During the full-time period, we are looking for somebody able to cover 3-4 night shifts, Sunday to Wednesday. The shifts are 12 hours, from 7 PM to 7 AM. Before December there will need to be training shifts, and there is potential for general backup coverage. After the full-time period, there may also be continued shifts available. Nighttime responsibilities will include toileting, assisted coughing, positioning, setting up the BiPAP, and some additional positioning such as turning on my side. Night pay is $19 an hour and you will be able to sleep for 5-6 hours. As long as there is a way to wake you in case of an emergency, as well as an average of one position change during the night.
