The Foam Shop is a 100% Canadian owned and family operated business since 1974. Starting from a single store in North Vancouver, we now have 12 stores across the lower mainland and have Canada's largest retail inventory of comfort products & we're still growing. We are looking for a result driven Sales Associate for our Nanaimo location, with potential advancement into a key-holder/manager role. The successful candidate will be able to elevate company standards, achieve sales goals and meet the client’s expectations. What's required Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices Proficiency in English Solid communication and interpersonal skills Physically fit Customer service focus Basic mathematics understanding including fractions and decimals Strong communication, organization and multi-tasking abilities A day in the life Cut and shape foam products to the specifications of our customers Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product features Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service Build productive trust relationships with customers Important Info We provide all training, offer competitive rates, medical and dental benefits after 1 year of employment, and an opportunity to excel within a friendly work environment. Sales associates start at $17.00 /h and can earn up to $19.00/h by advancing their skill-sets and sales volume. Onsite parking & transit accessible.
