$380 · 1970’S STOP SIGN GRETSCH 4160 COB SNARE DRUM 5” x 14”

This example of the amazing 4160 chromed brass shell snare drum is in overall good condition. The shell, cast hoops, lugs and other hardware appear to be all-original. The chrome is in very good shape, with just a few VERY minor scratches here and there. The internal damper works fine. The Lightning snare throw lever has been broken off at the tip, but it is easily set and this does not affect the functionality of the mechanism. I see that replacements for these throws are readily available. The drum has brand new and unplayed heads – Aquarian Texture Coated on top and an Evans 300 snare side. The snare wire set has also been recently replaced.
