I only recommend this Motorized Duel 8 Film Editor/Viewer & Splicer for someone who is a collector or likes to tinker with old stuff. It may need some care to make it work as before. Right now everything seems to work OK. The motors run, the speed controls work and the lamp comes on. I bought this unit in about 1970 and used it successfully for several years editing and splicing film into larger reels. I built a custom box for it and stored it away, not using it for more than 50 years. The editor /viewer also comes with an attached splicer. It folds out from a storage area underneath the machine, placing it in a good position for working. It can edit super 8 or standard 8 film. There are switches for Lamp, Frame adjustment, focus and marking the location for cutting the film for editing. There is no manual.
