Prunus fruticosa x cerasus 'Valentine' - $160.00, no tax. A hardy, self-fertile, dwarf cherry tree with great production of nice sized, bright red, 4.5 gram fruit that is high in citric acid and sugar and almost as sweet as a conventional cherry. The Romance series was developed by the University of Saskatchewan from hybrid crosses of the European sour cherry and the Mongolian cherry. Cultivars are selected for their fruit quality and size, super hardiness, and pest and disease resistance. The fruit is nearly as sweet as classic cherries. Harvest in August for fresh eating, baking, and canning. Nine years old and 7 feet tall with excellent root mass in 80L pot. Mature size: 6 to 8 feet wide and 12 to 15 feet high. Has two branch scaffolds begun at 3 feet and 6 feet. Weight is approximately 55kg I have nurtured this tree for 5 years. It needs a bigger space than I can give it.
