NAD 7045 AM/FM Receiver Manufactured in Taiwan circa 1979 This classic of the 1970s has been professionally restored to original factory specs, including: New electrolytic capacitors throughout; new filter caps bypassed with film; new power switch; cleaning and reconditioning of all switches and contacts; alignment as per manual; upgrades from service bulletins, etc. Further upgraded with LED lighting which runs cooler, draws less power, and lasts forever compared to old-fashioned incandescent bulbs. Installed LEDs are of the "warm white" variety to preserve the original 1970s aesthetic, but any colour (cool white, blue, green, etc) can be added for an additional $50. It is now 'like new' inside, in perfect working order and ready for decades more of reliable musical performance. With 45 watts output it is more than powerful enough to fill any home with music. The sound is warm, vivid, and clear - as good or better than when it left the factory in 1979. Model 7045 is from the first generation of NAD equipment offered for sale in North America in the late 1970s. These are rare compared to later 1980s-90s NAD products, and have become somewhat collectible. They were competitive with the famous Pioneer and Sansui receivers of their time. Cosmetic condition is 'excellent, used'; in beautiful shape for being 35+ years old with only some minor scratches to the top of the faceplate showing its age (see photos). Woodgrain veneer is very clean with no splitting or peeling. A five-minute listening session is worth a thousand words. Available to see and hear at your convenience!
