Once upon a time, over 279 years ago in the year 1742, a tiny little seed fell from it's cone and landed softly on the ground. As luck would have it, this little Cedar seed began to grow. It grew and grew for hundreds of years in beautiful Vancouver Island. A large and glorious tree towered above the land. When it's time came, it ended up at a local mill to be turned into luxurious lumber. Yet fate had other plans! On another lucky day, nearly 300 years later a local artist found this little stump. The very last piece of a historic tree was saved. Slowly it was worked and polished until a stunning table emerged to start a second life. Now hundreds of years later, this little tree is all dressed up and ready for it's second life with a new family. Made with care, and triple coated with clear coat. This lovely table is one of a kind, and may very well be the last coffee table you need to buy as it's designed to last a lifetime! Approximately 20" wide by 3 feet long. Exact measurements in pictures. Lovely grain, Western Red Cedar. 279 years old. Original logging stamp and markings preserved on the side.
