$660 · Homestay Room with Meals for Female Student Willing to Help Cook

This is only available for a female since the bathroom is shared with another female student. Also note that this is a homestay and not just a room, meaning that all your food is covered and cooked for and cleaned up for you. We run a homestay for VIU students with just one room left available and are offering a special offer on this room. We currently have 3 students, making a total of 5 people living in the house, and could use some help with cooking dinner. We are therefore offering a discount to a student who would like to cook dinner for everybody 1-4 times a week in exchange for a discount. Homestay Helper 1 ($840/month): You cook dinner for everyone 1x a week Homestay Helper 2 ($780/month): You cook dinner for everyone 2x a week Homestay Helper 3 ($720/month): You cook dinner for everyone 3x a week Homestay Helper 4 ($660/month): You cook dinner for everyone 4x a week Everything is included; breakfast is self-serve and we will provide lunch everyday and dinner on your non-cooking days and will buy any ingredients you want for dinner, and we still will do all the cleaning. We are experienced homestay hosts and have had students from China, Vietnam, Singapore, Kuwait, Qatar, and Japan. We are looking for a quiet, clean, friendly student and we have a strict policy against smoking, drugs, or heavy drinking. You would share a bathroom with a female VIU student. Your room contains everything you need including a bed, desk with chair and lamp, closet, night table with alarm clock/radio, and dresser. We are located in Cinnabar/Extension in South Nanaimo which is about a 9-minute drive from Vancouver Island University (VIU). There is a bus stop just an 8-minute walk away, but it does require 2 buses to get to VIU from here (about 45-50 minutes total travel time), so it is best if you have a vehicle. There will be a bus that goes direct to VIU in January 2020. We have a very friendly Golden Retriever who is a part of the family so you must be okay with dogs. We currently have a 26-year-old female student upstairs, as well as a young Chinese couple who share the big room downstairs who are both 23.
