2005 yz250f got this bike in 2020 needing a rebuild. Turned out the only problem was the carb overflowing washing the oil off the cylinder walls making the compression bad. everything is within spec and crosshatching of the cylinder walls still looks good. put a new set of rings in because it was already apart. runs well starts pretty easily hot or cold. reason for selling is wanting a 2stroke for single track. never raced, jumped or even taken out on the track. really only ridden in trails or on logging roads. has no issues except for needing new front wheel bearings and the back tire is getting bad. new set of all balls bearings and seals is $30 on fortnine. still easily rideable even without. only ran on premium. regular oil changes. has fmf powercore 4 and a vapor trailtech speedometer tach and coolant temp. if paying full price i’ll throw in a set of acerbis barkbusters still in the box. trades or reasonable offers entertained.
