Dog Walker / Pack Leader

We are looking for a dedicated full time pack leader to join the team in Parksville / Qualicum. What we are looking for in an employee: Dedicated and hard working Passionate about dog behaviour and training Knowledge of dog behaviour and body language Experience in the industry preferred (ie. dog daycare, dog walking, vet clinic etc) Physically able to hike on a mountain and trails for up to 2 hours a day rain or shine Physically able to control up to 8 dogs at once Valid class 5 drivers license with a clean drivers record Strong work ethic and problem solving skills Ability to work independently Must have an up to date smart phone to communicate and take photos with Have a clean criminal record About the position: 35-40 hours per week Monday to Friday Daytime hours Wage based on experience Driving to and from clients homes to pick up/drop off their dogs in our work van Hiking for an hour twice a day Full benefits available after probationary period Opportunities for occasional weekend overnight pet sitting if wanted We are looking for someone who is willing and wants to learn about dog training and behavior. After training, you will be expected to safely manage up to 8 dogs off leash along with training new dogs basic obedience and recall on the hikes.
