Casual Care Aide in Private Home

We are looking for a casual caregiver for a quadriplegic senior to get up in the mornings and/or to go to bed in the evenings in a private residence. Duties include: - all aspects of ADLs (toileting, bathing, hair washing) - lift use for transferring to bed or commode - leg bag and night bag care - checking blood pressure daily - some meal preparation and clean-up - give medications - light housekeeping (change bedding, laundry) - help look after 2 cats Requirements: - a criminal record check - a social insurance number - experience with home care - must not be allergic to cats Morning routine is 2 ½ hours to 3 hours (starting at 8:30am or 9am). Night routine is 2 hours to 2 ½ hours (starting at 8 or 8:30pm). This position will start as part-time, or on call, and could become full-time.
