Brand: CEC Chuo Denki Model: ST630 Manufactured in Japan mid-1980s. It has been completely mechanically and electrically restored with new capacitors, belts, cables, mechanism cleaned and lubricated. Functions now as well as it did when it left the factory in the 1980s, and will continue to for many years to come. Linear tracking turntables are known for their ease of use, as once properly set up you won't need to worry about VTF, anti-skate, VTA, offset angle, azimuth, etc all of which are pre-set and not user-adjustable. It also eliminates the risk of unsteady hands letting the needle scratch a record, as all movement of the tonearm is fully automated. Lastly: linear-trackers are designed to eliminate tracking error and 'inner-groove distortion' and ensure accurate playback across the entire surface of the disc.
