Cook: Part Time Position (including weekends) Responsible to: The Full Time Chef and Building Manager Responds immediately and appropriately to all owner emergencies. Responsible for daily meal preparation for 50-60 residents under the direction of the Full Time Chef. Addressed the nutritional needs of the residents. Addressed the residents’ food preferences whenever possible. Ensures all practices conform with Food Safe Guidelines Maintains the kitchen to government standards. Supports a sense of community in conjunction with all staff. Maintains owner and staff confidentiality. Performs all work within the standards and philosophy of Nova Pacific Care. Qualifications (Specific): Trade school graduate (tested at provincial level) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of special diets. Food Safe – Basic and advanced (in current standing) Minimum 1 year’s experience. Current clean criminal record check for work with vulnerable persons. First Aid/ CPR – Basic adult or equivalent. General: Team member/ cooperative work ethic. Flexible and responsible. Motivated and enthusiastic. Able to work independently.Wage/ Benefits: Compensation: $21.12/hr As per CLAC Collective Agreement inquire with Manager
