Counter Sales Associate The Counter Sales Representative is an integral function in the branch’s ability to provide excellent customer service to all of our clients and effectively maintain the preparedness of the branch for each year’s annual inventory. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -Offering exceptional customer service at our counter and over the phone -Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders -Contacting current customers and identifying new products and potential up-selling -Entering orders into the system -Purchasing materials for customers -Sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock -Providing product information, pricing quotations, and follow-up on quotes -Offering technical expertise on products to purchasers -Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships -Counter Sales and handling returns as required -Picking Priority orders -Closing orders and stocking bins -Keeping counter and sales area clean -Merchandising and showcasing product SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES -Customer service experience -Time management & multitasking skills to serve several customers at the same time -Basic computer skills (Word, Email, etc.) -Self-motivated; able to function effectively both independently and as a member of a team -Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced work environment EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION -Minimum grade 12 education -Knowledge of the plumbing and heating industry or a background in plumbing products would be -considered an asset WHY WORK FOR US -Company-paid benefits -Profit-sharing -RRSP match -Career growth -Recognition Program Final candidates will be required to undergo an assessment and security screening, including a criminal record check.
